The PDSA is Britain largets veterinary charity and cares for over 300,000 pet patients who have a range of conditions and illnesses such as diabetes, heart disease, asthma and arthritis. Although many of the pets cannot be cured completely with your help they can live happy, healthy lives. Any donations will help to fund over 240 private PDSA Veterinary practices helping to provide FREE treatment to millions of sick and injured pets every year.

Stop Climate Chaos Support the First ‘Mili-band’ of the Summer - Saturday 4th July

This saturday see's 'Stop Climate Chaos' group members Oxfam, WDM, RSPB, People & Planet, NUS, Christian Aid & the WI get together to put on the first 'Mili-band' event of the summer at the Kingsnorth summer fête in Kent. The event is being held at the proposed site of a new coal power station at Kingsnorth, with the aim to show government minister in charge of UK climate change policy, Ed Miliband, that the UK must show true global leadership on tackling climate change.

WWF Express Concern for Disappearing Whales at Summit Meeting

The WWF charity feels lack of conservation measures are the main cause of small whales disappearing from the world’s oceans and waterways through fishing, pollution and habitat loss. These inadequate methods are now pushing dolphins, porpoises and smaller whales towards extinction as they receive much less political attention than the larger members of the species.

Organised by the voluntary organisation Lovebox, '#charitytuesday' has been set up to highlight a different charity every month. WWF UK Look Forward to Climate Impact Programme Unveiling

The UK Climate Impact Programme's anticipated study of the threat climate change has to the UK will be released on Thursday 18th June 2009. Record Mountaineer Reaches Everest Peak with WWF Climate Message

A WWF charity banner was placed on top of Mount Everest by mountaineer Apa Sherpa yesterday, urging the world to take action against climate change. The banner, which read 'Stop Climate Change - Let the Himalayas Live!' was smashed into the snow atop Mount Everest as Sherpa completed his world record 19th climb of the formidable summit.

Shipping Industry Could Profit from 20% Cut in Emissions Claim WWF

The WWF charity has stated that international shipping could reduce its emissions by at least 20% at a negative cost to the industry. Shipping is currently responsible for nearly 3% of all global emissions but has so far not agreed to any emissions reduction agreements.

WWF Concerns for Sumatran Logging Operation

The WWF charity is concerned that a massive logging operation planned by one of the world’s largest paper companies will destroy the forests which are home to 100 Sumatran organutans. The joint venture between Asia Pulp & Paper and the Sinar Mas Group has been given a license to clear the largest portion of natural forest remaining outside the Bukit Tigapuluh National Park in Jambi Province, Sumatra. The companies could convert all remaining natural forest outside the park in the province, which is one of the most important areas for biodiversity on the planet.
