The British Red Cross is a UK based charity that helps people in crisis, whoever and wherever they are. They are part of a global voluntary network, which respond to conflicts, natural disasters and individual emergencies. By setting up a monthly donation to the British Red Cross you could help those in need :
- ÂŁ2 a month for a year could buy twelve daily measures of water and oral rehydration salts, enough for 480 children.
- ÂŁ3 a month for a year could buy enough food parcels to feed 120 people caught up in a natural disaster.
- ÂŁ5 a month for a year could by 36 family size mosquito nets for families to sleep under at night to prevent malaria from mosquito bites.
- ÂŁ10 a month for a year could train twelve people in lifesaving first aid skills.
The British Red Cross carries out fantastic work that enables vulnerable people across the globe (including right here in the UK) to prepare for and withstand emergencies in their own communities. They will also stick around to help people recover and prosper when the crisis is over.
