The UNICEF charity is celebrating it’s 20th anniversary with the release of a special edition publication, The State of the World’s Children. The book will detail UNICEF’s undoubted worldwide progress over the past two decades, but also feature some of the lengths that still have to be reached to ensure every child’s rights are fulfilled.
Since 1989, UNICEF mad a promise to the children of the world to change national laws, the way international organisations work and ensure greater protection for children affected by conflict. UNICEF Ambassador Ewan McGregor, speaks out about a child’s right to health and getting involved with the fight against AIDS.
The UNICEF childrens charity is still fighting hard to keep their promise to help every child in the world have a fullfilling life no matter what their circumstances. Every child has the right to a childhood, to be educated, to be healthy, to be treated fairly and to be heard.
