Excellent news on the NSPCC’s Christmas initiative - ‘A Letter from Santa’, which was a resounding success over the festive period. More than £500,000 was raised to help combat child cruelty, which helps to create more man hour’s on the hotline. Over the Christmas period alone Childline volunteers received a staggering 2,500 calls a day, but still some children couldn’t get through to the phone lines.

From as little as £5 a letter, loved one’s received a special personalized message from Santa himself, making sure they had behaved themselves over the last year and wishing them a Merry Christmas. Every £15 raised by ‘A Letter from Santa’ helped the NSPCC hotline answer an extra 5 children’s calls, proving that even the smallest donation can make a difference to someone’s Christmas
